Studies have found that crows that eat fast food from the trash have high cholesterol and it is more common for these birds to have higher cholesterol in urban areas. I think this goes to show that the consumption of fast food is not just effecting us anymore it is effecting the animals around us. It would make sense for the urban areas to have more crows with higher cholesterol because that is a common food that is sold in those areas, because it is cheap and fast. My dad works in Compton California and he is always talking about how the only food that they sell there is fast food and that its slowly killing the people there because they don't have affordable/healthy things to eat. This post is not just about crows but it shows that even the animals in these areas are being negatively effected by fast food.
